Hey guys! Hello and welcome to Mike and Ben on tour, the web site that will allow you, our friends, foes, relatives and weird internet people to keep track (or tabs mum) on our magical mystical tour! We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to everybody who has helped, advised, driven, worked with us and generally put up with us over the last few months. Plus a big thanks for the rent free accommodation (that one’s manly for the old parents) 
Please keep checking back for updates, (which will hopefully be fairly regular and include pictures) and feel free to leave messages telling us how much you miss us, or let us know how glad you are we have gone! 
NB. As we are basically making most of the trip up as we go along messages from people who actually know what they are doing would be very much appreciated. For example places to definitely go and places to avoid at all costs!

Lucy was telling me that you’ve got an overnight stop in Sydney first – just a small bit of advice… do not stay in a hostel called Downtown City Backpackers – its the worst place we stayed at.. ever! (I’d rather sleep on the streets). I’ve heard that Base Wanderers on Kent is good and reasonable priced too!

Hey guys, we thought we ought to report a thought before you get to the (air)port. Have a great time you lucky boys,keep yourselves busy – you can never have too many shrimps on the barbie! Australia have the biggest sharks in the world so please don’t get eaten…and if you have the chance to try shark- definatly, definatly don’t- apparently it’s minging. Take loads of pictures, keep us all posted and love it!!!
